As part of my thesis research for my MFA studies at Florida State University, I’m focusing on the hero’s journey. In this exercise I was working out the process of dismemberment. Much to explain about dismemberment but the idea behind this is about letting go of those things which I hold so much corporeal history in order to generate a new skin. In my hero’s journey this is part of my natural process of transformation. This may or may not be workshop material for the final piece set to premiere in Spring 2020 as part of my thesis concert.

Music: Partita for Violin Solo No. 1 in B Minor, BWV 1002: IV. Double (Presto) performed by Hilary Hahn.
